Nubuor Designs is undertaking a full first-floor renovation for a family home in Lexington, Massachusetts, the next chapter of a project that began with a furniture and lighting update completed in Phase One. The scope covers the entire floor: expanding the kitchen, connecting the dining room more directly to it, and combining the existing spaces into one great room that opens sightlines across the whole level. The kitchen overhaul is the heart of the project, doubling storage and counter seating, bringing in more light, and adding a dry bar station alongside a butler's pantry with its own secondary kitchen.

The goal is a first floor that finally matches how this family actually lives and entertains, while carrying forward the muted, clean-lined aesthetic established in the home's furnishings. Every early decision, down to the furniture chosen for Phase One, was made with this renovation already in mind, so the two phases read as one continuous story rather than two separate projects.
