The brief for this studio was direct: create a showstopper of a space that draws from local materials and finishes, and isn't afraid of color.

Five distinct schemes were developed, each one a different interpretation of the same brief. Across all of them, the through lines are consistent: kente-inspired pattern carried through rugs and textiles as structure rather than decoration, carved wood given the same weight as upholstery, and art selected to reflect a specific cultural conversation rather than fill a wall. Wall colors range from deep plum and tobacco brown to olive and warm cream, each one bold enough to hold its own against the richness of the objects within it.

Each scheme reflect a space that feels genuinely rooted in Accra and impossible to mistake for anywhere else. A self-contained studio that balances efficiency with livability, proving that even compact spaces can feel welcoming and complete.
