Great Design Begins with Great Planning

From initial concept through final installation, I manage every detail so your project feels organized, efficient, and seamless. With a decade of experience transforming homes throughout Greater Boston and beyond, I bring a proven process that protects your investment, your time, and your vision.

Whether you are undertaking a full renovation, sourcing custom furnishings, or something in between, I work closely with you, your architect, and your contractor to create spaces tailored to how you live. Thorough upfront planning means details are addressed early, preventing the costly surprises and delays that derail so many renovation projects.

Step #1: Discovery Consultation

My first conversation with you is about listening. I want to understand your vision, how you live in your space, and what you are hoping to achieve. We will talk through how I work, discuss investment expectations, and clarify the two parts of every project budget: furnishings and construction.

Following that initial call, I schedule an in-depth consultation to explore your project scope, aesthetic preferences, and budget in detail. For projects within 30 miles of Boston, we meet at your property so I can see the space firsthand. Beyond that radius, we connect virtually. If you have reference images showing what you love and what you do not, bring them along.

By the end of this phase, we will have had an honest conversation about budget, timeline, and what success looks like for your project, and I will follow up with a detailed proposal outlining scope, timeline, and investment.

Step #2: Concept Design + Vision Alignment

With our partnership established, the creative work begins. I develop comprehensive inspiration boards that capture the aesthetic direction for each space, aligning my vision with yours before any decisions are made. These boards establish the foundation for material selections, spatial layouts, and finish specifications.

Alongside the inspiration work, I create detailed furniture plans exploring how each room will function and flow. This is also when we establish project priorities, separating must-haves from preferred elements, and set separate budgets for construction and furnishings so expectations are clear from the start. Nothing moves forward until we are both confident the direction is right.

By the end of this phase, you will have a complete picture of where the project is headed and the confidence that every decision from here supports a cohesive vision built around how you actually live.

Step #3: Design Refinement + Material Selection

This is the phase where your vision becomes tangible. I present curated product options and material samples so you can experience colors, textures, and finishes in person before any commitments are made. Seeing and touching the actual materials makes decisions clearer and ensures the final selections feel exactly right.

For renovation projects, this is also when I develop detailed construction documentation including floor plans, elevations, and specifications. It is the ideal moment to engage contractors for bidding because with materials already specified, you receive accurate pricing that reflects actual project costs rather than rough estimates. No guesswork, no surprises.

By the end of this phase, every element of your home has been specified, from cabinetry and tile to lighting, hardware, and window treatments. The 3D renderings I create at this stage let you see the completed spaces before a single wall is touched, giving you the confidence to move into construction knowing exactly what you are building toward.

Step #4: Procurement & Project Execution

This is where the plans become reality. I manage all sourcing, vendor coordination, and contractor collaboration, drawing on established trade relationships to keep your project moving efficiently and on budget. You will receive detailed proposals itemizing all costs before anything is ordered, so there are no surprises.

I conduct regular site visits throughout construction to ensure the design intent is being executed accurately, review shop drawings, and remain actively involved to resolve questions as they arise. Furniture is received, inspected, and stored securely until installation day.

One thing worth noting: timely decisions on your end make a significant difference. Prompt responses to design and construction questions keep the project on schedule and help avoid the delays that lead to cost overruns. I will always give you the information and guidance you need to make those decisions with confidence.

Step #5: Interiors Installation, Styling + Punchlist

This is the moment everything comes together. I coordinate all furniture delivery and oversee installation personally, ensuring every piece lands exactly where it should and every detail meets the standard we set at the start of the project.

The final walkthrough, typically spanning two to four hours over one or multiple days, is a thorough review of everything completed. Any outstanding items are addressed before I hand the space over to you. I also provide complete project documentation including purchase records, paint colors, material specifications, warranty information, and care instructions, so you have everything you need to maintain your investment long after the project is complete.

This is also when the finishing touches come to life. Accessories, art placement, and final styling elements are the details that transform a well designed room into a home that feels truly lived in and complete.

My involvement does not end at handover. A completed project is the beginning of a relationship, not the end of one. I remain available as you settle into your new space, and many of my clients return for future projects, second homes, or simply to keep in touch. That continuity is the most rewarding part of this work.
