Great Design Begins with Great Planning

From initial concept through final installation, we manage every detail so your project feels organized, efficient, and seamless. With a decade of experience transforming homes throughout Greater Boston, we bring proven systems that protect your investment, time, and vision.

Whether you need a full renovation, custom furnishings, or something in between, we work closely with you, your architect, and your contractor to create spaces tailored to how you live. Our thorough upfront planning addresses details early, preventing costly surprises and delays.

Here's how we work:

Step #1: Discovery Consultation + Assessment

Our first conversation is about listening. We want to understand your vision, how you live in your space, and what you're hoping to achieve. We'll explain how we work, discuss our fee structure, and clarify the two parts of every budget: furnishings and construction.

Following this initial call, we schedule an in-depth consultation to explore your project scope, aesthetic preferences, and budget in detail. For projects within 30 miles of Boston, we’ll meet at your property. Beyond that radius, we connect virtually for this phase. If you have reference images showing what you love (and what you don't), please bring them along.

During This Meeting:

  • We discuss how you use your space and what needs to function better

  • We review any existing architectural plans * We have an honest conversation about budget, timeline, and what success means to you

  • We formalize our partnership with a design agreement that ensures we're aligned on bringing your vision to life

Following the consultation, we provide a detailed proposal outlining scope, timeline, and investment.

Step #2: Concept Design + Vision Alignment

With our partnership established, the creative work begins.

We develop comprehensive inspiration boards that capture the aesthetic direction for each space, aligning our vision with yours. These boards establish the foundation for material selections, spatial layouts, and finish specifications. Simultaneously, we create detailed furniture plans exploring how each room will function and flow.

What We Deliver:

  • Project priorities: must-haves, preferred elements, and flexible areas

  • Design direction boards for each space

  • Complete spatial documentation and measurements * Furniture assessment: what to keep, replace, or update

  • Floor plans exploring layout, circulation, and proportion

  • Separate budgets for construction and furnishings with material allocations

This phase ensures every decision supports a cohesive vision tailored to how you live.

Step #3: Design Refinement + Material Selection

This is the phase where your vision becomes tangible. We present curated product options and material samples so you can experience colors, textures, and finishes in person. This hands-on process makes decisions clearer and ensures final selections align with your expectations.

For renovation projects, we create detailed construction documentation including floor plans, elevations, and specifications. This is the optimal time to engage contractors for bidding. With materials already specified, you receive accurate pricing that reflects actual project costs rather than rough estimates.

Design Selections Include:

  • Room-by-room design boards with all specified materials

  • Complete material palette: furnishings, cabinetry, tile, lighting, countertops, hardware, window treatments, wallcoverings

  • Detailed kitchen design: cabinetry layouts, islands, appliances, storage solutions

  • Complete bathroom design: fixtures, vanities, tile, lighting, storage

  • Custom millwork and built-in specifications

  • Showroom appointments for appliances and plumbing fixtures

  • Comprehensive lighting design: recessed, decorative fixtures, sconces, outdoor

  • 3D renderings visualizing completed spaces

This comprehensive documentation ensures seamless execution during construction and installation.

Step #4: Procurement & Project Execution

We manage all sourcing, vendor coordination, and contractor collaboration, leveraging our trade relationships to keep your project moving efficiently.

You'll receive detailed proposals itemizing all costs. We conduct regular site visits to ensure design intent translates accurately during construction, review shop drawings, and remain actively involved to resolve questions as they arise.

Your Role: Timely decision-making is essential. Timely responses to design and construction questions prevent delays, which cause scheduling conflicts, late deliveries, and cost overruns.

Project Management Includes:

  • Detailed product quotes for your review and approval

  • Construction drawing review and sign-offs

  • Comprehensive product specification for contractors

  • Furniture receiving, inspection, and secure storage

  • Construction material delivery coordination

  • Regular progress meetings reviewing budget, timeline, and outstanding decisions

This hands-on management ensures quality control and seamless coordination between all parties.

Step #5: Interiors Installation, Styling + Punchlist

Our final walkthrough, typically spanning two to four hours over one or multiple days, ensures every detail meets our standards and your expectations.

We coordinate all furniture delivery and oversee installation. Before we hand over the keys to your newly designed home, we provide complete documentation and guidance for maintaining your new investment.

Final Phase Includes:

  • Comprehensive walkthrough with you and your contractor addressing any remaining items

  • White-glove furniture delivery coordination and on-site supervision

  • Complete project documentation: purchase records, paint colors, material specifications

  • Warranty information, care instructions, and maintenance guidelines
