Boston Interior Designer
Nubuor Designs is a Boston interior design studio creating thoughtful, highly personal homes through renovations, furnishings, and full-service design. Based in Beacon Hill, we work with homeowners throughout Boston and the surrounding communities on projects that deserve careful planning, beautiful materials, and a design that feels unmistakably theirs.
Boston homes come with their own particular set of considerations. Historic architecture, brownstones, narrow lots, older building systems, preservation requirements, and the realities of city construction all shape what is possible. We approach each project by understanding the house first, then designing around the way our clients actually live.
Boston's housing stock spans a real range, historic brownstones and rowhouses throughout the older neighborhoods, but also newer condominiums, contemporary builds, and homes that have already been substantially renovated and simply need furnishing and finishing. We approach each the same way, by understanding the space in front of us rather than applying one fixed style across every project.
That range shows up in our own work. A historic townhouse and a clean-lined contemporary condo call for entirely different decisions, but the same level of attention, from how a room is laid out to the materials and furnishings that finish it.
Interior Design for Boston Homes
Designing in Boston's Historic Homes
Our work ranges from comprehensive gut renovations to furnishing projects and everything in between. We help clients develop the vision, rethink layouts, select materials and finishes, coordinate with architects and contractors, source furnishings, and carry the project through installation.
For renovations, we believe design should happen before construction begins. A thoughtful plan gives the entire team a clearer direction and allows decisions to be made intentionally rather than on site, when changes are more difficult and expensive.

A Design Process Built Around Your Lifestyle
Every project begins with understanding how you live, what isn't working, what you want to preserve, and what you want the home to become. From there, we develop a design that brings architecture, materials, furnishings, lighting, and function together as one cohesive whole.
Whether you're considering a Boston brownstone, a historic townhouse, a condominium, or a home that simply needs to work better for your family, we'd love to hear about it.
