Jungle Chic

Interior Design: Nubuor Designs
Project Location : Lexington, MA
Status: Ongoing

Nubuor Designs is providing comprehensive interior design services for a home in Lexington, where classic sophistication meets bold personality. The homeowners' aesthetic celebrates color, pattern, and a tasteful dose of animal motifs, and the brief was to create a home that's refined without ever taking itself too seriously. This phased project began with furniture design and lighting selections, and has since evolved to include custom millwork updates and bathroom renovations.

That range shows up room to room. In the kids' spaces, the motifs get to be playful and unrestrained, a tiger-and-palm fabric anchored the playroom and later found its way onto the room's sconces. Elsewhere in the home, that same spirit shows up with more restraint, sophisticated rather than themed, still full of personality but dressed for company, the dining room's shift from red and moody to green and lush is a good example, finished with a gilt mirror found at an estate sale. A rewired vintage Italian pendant and a kitchen anchored by warm wood and brass round out the home's throughline. This home proves bold choices can be playful and sophisticated at once, with timeless elegance and enough personality to feel entirely theirs.
